Renovations and Beautifications

In year 1999, the Synagogue was further renovated and beautified. The Renovated and beautified Synagogue with the Synagogue Renovation funds collected from Jewish Community from all over Maharashtra and was dedicated to the Jewish people on 3rd September 2000.

During last few decades, Shaar Hashamaim - Gate Of Heaven Synagogue, Thane became a important centre of Jewish activities. Around 40% of the Jewish population in India are residing in and around the city of Thane. The Jewish activities have grown out of proportion to such an extent that the need is felt to further develop the existing facilities to accommodate needs of the Jewish people using services from Shaar Hashamaim.
