| Shaar Hashamaim is proud to have the largest Jewish population of India in Thane making the Synagogue the center of Jewish activities and celebrations. We have circumcisions, Bar - Mitzvah's, Bat - Mitzvah's, Huppa - Marriage Ceremony, High Holiday Festivals, Festival Socials such as Purim, Shavouth, Hanukka and Succoth and also Pesach Seders. |

| We have also celebrations of the Sephardic Jewish Youth Club, Eve's Association, Indian Zionist Association and the Jewish Welfare Association from time to time involving the whole Jewish Community. |

| Apart from all the festival celebrations the management and trustees organize throughout the year Torah classes, Hebrew reading, Sunday School, Gan - Katan for youngsters, Singing and Folk Dance sessions, Choir and all such Jewish activities to keep everybody busy and well knit within the community thereby having oneness and unity. The management works in close co - operation and co - ordination with all organizations and associations to promote Jewish Identity to have Jewish Continuity and to build a Jewish Infrastructure in the city of Thane making Shaar Hashamaim a center of all Jewish activities. |
